Graduate Education at RMU
Robert Morris University’s graduate education programs will help you become the teacher, educator or trainer you want to be.
The M.S. in Instructional Leadership builds effective leadership skills related to instruction, curriculum, technology, educational trends, and evaluation. This program has a number of concentration options, and can be combined with Pre-K-4 or secondary teacher certification, or endorsements including online teaching or autism spectrum disorders. Some options can be taken fully online.
RMU's M.Ed. in Literacy – Reading Specialist Certification offers a K-12 certification that provides a comprehensive background in literacy for certified teachers.
RMU's M.Ed. in Special Education program is for currently certified teachers who are looking to gain a thorough understanding of child development and appropriate diagnostic and instructionally adaptive strategies for students with disabilities.
RMU’s M.S. in Instructional Leadership with Principal Certification provides a new and unique opportunity for teachers with at least two years of experience to earn a Master’s degree and principal certification in two years or less. Principal Certification can also be earned in one year without the Master's.
RMU’s M.S. in Business Education is a fully-online or face-to-face program for those engaged in teaching business concepts and studies in public, private and corporate educational institutions, as well as those desiring an initial or additional secondary teaching certification in business, computer, and information technology.
RMU’s Teaching Online Certificate program is specifically targeted for K-12 and Higher Education faculty who teach in online settings. K-12 teachers who complete this program at RMU will receive the Online Teaching Endorsement from the Pennsylvania Department of Education. This program can be a part of the M.S. in Instructional Leadership.
Programs are accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).
